Brumbaugh/Doerrer Fireworks

We had a good weekend. Started with meeting my new niece and then a huge private fireworks show by my cousin - in-law (my cousin's husband ). The boys had a blast with their cousins. Gavin even fell asleep while he was watching a movie on the way home.

Zoo

We took Kevin to the zoo today. We went all out and did EVERYTHING!

First Day of School

John started school on Wednesday Aug. 5th, but Gavin didn't start until Aug. 7th.

Exchange student.

We decided to open our home to an 11 year old boy. The boys' school is the host school for 10 students from China. He will be with us for a month and his American name is Kevin. We are looking forward to lots of adventures!

Holding on to summer!

Today the boys and I headed to Columbus to have lunch with Ryan and then we went looking for some fun. We hare trying to hold on to what summer we have left! There is a small Children's Museum there that I have heard good things about and right across the street is a super cool indoor climbing thing to burn off more energy. The boys had a blast. One of the things the museum is known for is their giant toilet. The boys thought it was cool! They also lived putting themselves in bubbles! I had two tired boys on the way home!!!

Swim lessons

The boys are taking swim lessons and after lessons the pool opens to the public. John has been begging to go off the diving boards so today I finally gave in. He went off both boards. Loved the high dive!

Indy Eleven

Today we went to an Indy Eleven  (professional soccer team.) Gavin had a slight meltdown before the game because he wanted to play. The boys enjoyed watching about 10 minutes (it was a 90 minute game!) The Eleven won 3-0!
